Clean and inviting 😌 we had a family event and it was lovely

The lodge room is the newest one refurbished in the late 1980's and was state of the cart in sound systems. This time, the sound system really lacked quality. Perhaps it was the technician that was running it, didn't test it thoroughly before the event. I could barely hear what was being said from the podium and the desk area was cutting on and out on sound. I am thinking that the people who were the speakers were very timid in projecting their voices. Either way, the sound system really lacked quality sound effects. I remember when you could walk in the room without any microphones being on and you could hear what was going on. Guess those days are long gone.

Great place to rent out for any event.

The place overall nice and affordable. I hosted my daughter's first birthday and baptism reception there. When I booked I advise there would be alcohol so the deposit was $250. My event ended at 11 pm friends and family helped clean up we were there until 1 am making sure everything was the way it was prior. My event was on a Saturday and by Wednesday I had not heard anything regarding the return of my deposit. So I reached out and was told "a total of damage & cleaning cost needed to be calculated". I immediately responded asking what damages? They responded with a forwarded message from THEIR maintenance guy with details.(the next day) In short stating we left it in horrible condition. We intentionally left scuff marks. We had live music and there was some dancing, men wore boots. Also, that tables and chairs were full of food? All tables and chairs had table covers and seat covers? When the gentleman who unlocked for us advised that we were not allowed glitter he said there was a party that had a glitter bomb were they the people paid someone to clean but that they still took some of their deposit because they had to do more work? Seems like they do this alot. It's unfair because they make up yes make up "damages and cleaning" cost without you present or doing a walk through. How was there food on chairs when they were fully covered? I spent so much money to have my daughter's party look beautiful and elegant. I would never allow food being thrown or the facility disrespected. I can agree the floor needed a good mop from scuffs understandable... the mop and water the facility provides would no do the job. Did it take your janitor 6 hours, no it did not. Take pictures before and after and request to be present during their inspection. I most definitely have had the audacity to ask for my deposit had I left it the way they described and why hadn't they reached out immediately after if their venue was in said condition. I explained all this and never got a response.
