Denver Farmers Markets 2026: Schedule, Locations & Guide

Every farmers market in Denver and the metro area — weekly schedules, seasonal hours, what to expect, and what's in season.

Denver's farmers market scene has expanded dramatically over the past decade. What started as a few seasonal weekend markets has grown into a year-round network of 30+ markets spanning the city and inner suburbs, drawing 500+ local vendors selling everything from Olathe sweet corn and Palisade peaches to artisan cheeses, pastured meats, and handmade ceramics.

The flagship Union Station Farmers Market runs Saturday mornings from May through October and has evolved into one of the better urban markets in the country — not just for food, but for the experience of being in the middle of a genuinely vibrant neighborhood. This guide covers all the major markets, what makes each one worth visiting, and how to get the most out of Colorado's short but spectacular growing season. Explore Denver events this weekend

What to Buy at Denver Farmers Markets

Colorado's farmers markets shine with Palisade peaches (August), Rocky Ford melons, Pueblo chiles, and locally raised bison and lamb. Artisan vendors offer everything from small-batch honey and goat cheese to handmade pasta and wood-fired bread. Many markets also feature live music, food trucks, and craft cocktail tastings.

Neighborhood Markets Worth Visiting

Beyond the flagship Cherry Creek market, neighborhood gems include the Highlands Square Farmers Market (Sundays in LoHi), the Stapleton Market (now Central Park), and the Golden Farmers Market just west of Denver. Each has a distinct personality reflecting its neighborhood's culture and community.

I've been selling at Union Station for six years. Customers come back every week because they want to know who grew their food. That connection to the farmer is what makes a market work — and Denver shoppers actually care about it.

What to Buy Each Season

Olathe Sweet Corn and Palisade Peaches: These are the two most iconic Colorado farm products. Olathe corn (western Colorado) has a very short peak window in late July — August. Palisade peaches (Grand Valley) arrive mid-July through September. Both are dramatically better than supermarket equivalents. When you see them at the market, buy in quantity.
