Denver Summer Concerts 2026: Outdoor Shows & Free Events

Every outdoor concert series in Denver this summer — Red Rocks, Levitt Pavilion, City Park Jazz, Fiddler's Green, and more.

Denver's summer concert season runs from late May through early October, and it's one of the most concentrated outdoor music periods of any American city. The combination of 300 days of sunshine, a dense cluster of world-class outdoor venues, and an audience that will drive 30 minutes into the mountains for a show produces something that other cities genuinely can't replicate.

The pillar of it all is Red Rocks — arguably the most famous concert venue in the world, and the reason that Denver music fans develop a mild form of venue snobbery after a few summers here. But the summer concert ecosystem runs much deeper than one amphitheatre. Fiddler's Green in Englewood adds 18,000-cap outdoor shows. The city's free concert series (City Park Jazz, Civic Center summer concerts, neighborhood block parties) run every weekend. Rooftop shows at Ophelia's and outdoor stages at Larimer Square add an urban dimension. Here's how to plan your summer. Denver concerts happening tonight

Free Concert Series Worth Your Summer

Levitt Pavilion at Ruby Hill Park is Denver's best-kept secret for free live music, hosting 50+ professionally curated concerts each summer. City Park Jazz brings thousands to the park pavilion every Sunday evening from June through August. Add in brewery patio sessions and neighborhood block parties, and you can fill your entire summer calendar without buying a single ticket.

Planning Your Red Rocks Experience

Red Rocks shows sell out fast, but day-of tickets sometimes appear on the official AXS resale marketplace. Arrive early to enjoy the Trading Post trail and stunning geological formations. Parking fills up quickly for popular shows, so consider the Park-n-Ride shuttle from Lot A or rideshare drop-off. Post-show, the stars above the amphitheater are unforgettable.

There's nothing like watching a show at Red Rocks as the sun goes down behind you and the stars come out over the mountains. I've been to concerts all over the world and nothing touches it. Denverites are incredibly lucky and most of them know it.

Denver Summer Concert Seasonvia 303Happenings editorial score
4.8/5

Red Rocks alone earns a near-perfect score. The free concert infrastructure, the density of outdoor venues, and the 300 days of sunshine make this one of the best concert cities in the country.
