The Colfax Marathon Relay splits the full 26.2-mile marathon course into 5 legs for teams of 5 runners. Each runner covers 4–6 miles, making the marathon distance accessible to everyone.

The relay is wildly popular with corporate teams, running clubs, and friend groups. Exchange zones are at designated points along the course with team gathering areas, hydration, and cheering sections.
